Science and Engineering Are for Girls
If you are a Cleveland
girl currently in 6th through 10th grade interested in a science-
or
engineering -related career, this free event is for you!
Young Women In Science & Engineering
(YWISE) is a informative and hands-on workshop for girls in 6th
through 10th grade. Program highlights include breakfast,
career panels, and fun, hands-on science laboratories that let you
perform experiments and make take-home souvenirs!
This event will take place from 9:00-1:00 on April 9, 2011 at the Metro Campus on the first floor of Health Careers and Sciences.
Come and see that
science &engineering are for girls! You’ll have the chance to meet women scientists
& engineers working in the Cleveland area; talk to faculty and
staff from Cuyahoga Community College; visit our labs; and do fun,
hands-on workshops.
High school counselors, science teachers, and parents are encouraged to
accompany students, and learn more about science and engineering careers.
