Complete a "close reading" and critical analysis of a single poem from our class readings or from the list provided. Be sure to establish a clear thesis or argument in your paper--something about the poem. (We will work on this in class. See Thesis Worksheet Blank to the left.) Be sure to provide examples or quotations of specific lines from the poem to support your points. Complete some additional outside research--at least 3 additional sources: journal articles, books, and a literary glossary. More later. |
