April is Records and Information Management Month

April is Records and Information Management (RIM) Month!  The Tri-C Records Management program is celebrating RIM Month by rolling out the College’s revised records retention schedules and offering training in Records Management to College-wide records coordinators, faculty and staff.

RIM Month is an opportunity to promote the records and information management profession, and to emphasize the impact records and information have on business, government, and public organizations like Tri-C.  So, April is a great time for Records Management and the Office of Legal Services to provide in-person training opportunities for faculty and staff on how – and when – to properly store or dispose of office records.

Organizing and maintaining records in any format – paper, electronic, microfilm, magnetic, and audiovisual – is very important for the efficient and effective management of the College, and makes it easier for everyone to complete tasks.

Please look for training through Insight.  Records coordinators and selected faculty will have sessions the last two weeks of April and training for staff and faculty will be offered the second and third weeks of May.  Contact Judy Startari for more information!
