*sketchbook
*18" X 24" newsprint pad - will use at least 100 sheets
*18" X 24" (17" x 22" at Hollo's) inexpensive white paper
*18" X 24" all-purpose white pad. (The better the quality of the white paper, the easier it is to draw.
Assorted papers sold by the sheet: 18" x 24" Canson brand (minimum 3 white, 2 black, 2 medium gray)
*compressed charcoal - 3B Do not buy the large squares.
*conte - square sticks - 2B - 2 sticks black, 2 sticks white
*assorted pencils - include ebony or 6B, and charcoal pencil (soft), white conte pencil
*black felt tip pen (not permanent) or medium point black ink pen for contour drawings
*chamois skin
*erasers - pink pearl, kneaded, and clickable eraser stick (Sanford Tuff Stuff is one brand)
permanent markers - variety of point sizes (or repitograph, if you have one) for perspective project
Krylon workable clear acrylic spray to fix your drawings - spray outside - not in the classroom
Exacto knife and blades
18" metal ruler (perspective project)
t-square - 24" long (perspective project)
right triangle (perspective project)
masking tape
pencil sharpener in a case to catch the shavings - necessary to sharpen charcoal pencils
